Sharing Faith

At Holy Family, we are proud of our commitment to our faith. Religious Education is a core Key Learning Area and lessons are based on the diocesan curriculum Sharing Our Story.

Supporting Literacy

In addition to the curriculum, Holy Family Primary supports student learning through:

  • Premier's Reading Challenge
  • Student and parent library borrowing
  • Opportunities to attend live drama performances
  • Voice of Youth public speaking competition.

Supporting Numeracy

In addition to the curriculum, Holy Family Primary supports student learning through:

  • Mathletics
  • Maths Challenge Club
  • Volunteer tutors
  • Parent information sessions.

Extra Learning Opportunities

Students are provided with a wide range of opportunities as part of school life at Holy Family Primary Emerton including:

  • Specialist Physical Education teacher
  • Specialist Creative Arts teacher
  • Volunteer Music teacher
  • A pastoral care program based on the Positive Behaviour Support for Learning Program and Peaceful Kids and Mindfulness Program
  • Sporting activities and carnivals
  • Representative teams for netball, soccer, touch football, rugby league, basketball and cross country
  • Opportunities for involvement in the Diocesan Creative Arts Expo
  • Year 5 and 6 students learn a brass instrument through the CAPTIVATE program
  • Involvement in local community art competitions
  • Involvement in Naidoc Week celebrations
  • Participation in the Mount Druitt Walk for Reconciliation.
