A Caring Community

We happily welcome new members into the Holy Family fold and our school offers a range of additional wellbeing and pastoral care programs encompassing a specialist Kindergarten orientation program to ensure a smooth transition to primary school.We strive to develop all aspects of the developing child - socially, emotionally and academically.

We recognise that each student has a unique learning path and endeavour to provide engaging learning experiences for all our students. In doing so we support them in becoming independent and successful learners.

Passionate, Professional Teachers

Our teachers are dedicated and creative, inspiring a love of learning in students every day.They foster exploration and innovation, drawing on students’ passions, talents and learning styles to create an education that cultivates the whole child. In addition to our classroom teachers, Holy Family employs a number of specialist support teachers, as well as a school counsellor and additional support staff who make great learning possible.

Values-Based Education

‘Cura Personalis’ (the care for the individual) is at the heart of our school. Staff and students strive to model the Gospel values through our interactions with each other, and through the activities in which we participate in - all which lead to a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith. Religious Education is a core Key Learning Area.

A School Designed for Student Success

Our specially designed learning spaces are fully air conditioned and were built with a student-focus to support high-quality learning and teaching. The learning spaces at Holy Family Emerton are used as ‘hubs’ which allow for collaboration between students and teachers. In addition to this, each classroom is fitted-out with the latest technology designed to equip students with 21st-century learning skills.

Extra-curricular Opportunities

A Holy Family education allows students to discover their own talents and provides opportunities to fully explore these. We encourage our students to learn more than just the fundamentals, engaging them in a wide array of extra-curricular activities.

We run a number of Creative and Performing Arts programs, including a school Band program which is a part of our curriculum. In addition to this, a dance and drama program is offered to all students before school. Our students regularly participate in competitions, concerts and performances with other schools with the support of specialist creative arts teachers.

As well as our Creative Arts programs, Holy Family runs a free, two-day school holiday program designed to give students a “jump-start” into the next school term. This program is run before each new school term and incorporates a number of games and learning challenges designed to prepare students for the term ahead.
