Year 5 and Year 6 students attended the Youth Eco Summit (YES) as part of the Murama Indigenous Eco Youth Summit on Wednesday 20th September. Students engaged in activities across the venue at Newington Armory Sydney Olympic Park Precinct, Homebush. This event involved significant cultural activities led by Murama Indigenous Youth Leaders, along with other stalls and activities centred around sustainability πΌπͺΈπ»

This week our students have been exploring a contemporary adaptation of the Wiradjuri Dreamtime Story 'Gobbagumbalun and Pomingalarna'. The Australian Ballet performed Pomi and Gobba for our Yr 2,3,4 & 5 students, and today our students along with students from St Francis Glendenning performed with the Australian Ballet for their parents/carers. VOICE OF YOUTH SPECTACULAR NEWS!! Yesterday, Tyahne competed at the Western Division Semi finals for the Voice of Youth public speaking competition, supported by all of Year 6 who were amazing audience members and Tyahne's cheer squad. We are beaming with pride to announce that Tyahne was selected by the judging panel to go through to the Grand Final next week! This is such a phenomenal achievement and one that we are all so proud of! The competition yesterday was tough, with so many amazing speeches by the winners of all the Cluster Semi Finals in our division and each were delivered very well by all competitors. Tyahne spoke with such confidence, clarity and poise! We can't wait to watch her at the Grand Final and we will let you know how she goes next week. We are all very proud of her accomplishments and Year 6 are beaming with pride and excitement for their class mate, which is so heart warmingπ₯°π₯³πππ₯
